Hi Katharine. Wasn’t you several months ago that chased Speaker Johnson property records in LA when Georgia F’s “A View From the Porch” SubStack was looking into Johnson’s background? What a mess those records were.
I’ve found every jurisdiction and every state has a different level of sophistication and detail on digital records accessible online. Title transfers, mortgages, liens of all kinds, building permits, even building plans. (Offline, but Did you know prior to the breakup of AT&T, they had digitized schematics of every building in the country with a hardwired landline showing every wall plug location? I’ve been in their California data center, higher security than any government building I’ve ever been in, including DoD SCIF rooms.)
Birth and death certificates are online, but thankfully behind a paywall with proof of identity of the requestor required.

I noticed the same and I don’t know why. Last I remember she was taking a few days off around Thanksgiving to visit relatives. I found her through her HCR comments and even though I don’t scroll through Heather’s 100’s of daily comments, I haven’t seen her name there either. I googled searched her name, but nothing odd or an indication she’d switched platforms.
