Your book quote reminds me of one of my favorite Einstein quotes - “I never commit to memory anything that can easily be looked up in a book.”

I really like your (copyrighted) book quote and whole heartedly agree, but what I find concerning is depending on others for guidance on all the other parts of reality beyond our expertise. It takes a lot of brain power and filtering in the age of disinformation and misinformation.

You need a separate bookcase. Start with some good but long books from decades ago. The Pentagon Papers (1971 Neil Sheehan) and All the President’s Men (1974 Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward). I read them in high school when they both came out. I wasn’t your ordinary teenager.

By the way everybody, I realized after I posted that Fiona Hill testified in the first impeachment hearing in November 2919, not the January 6th ones. Sorry. Her book is entitled “There is Nothing for You Here: Finding Opportunity in the Twenty-First Century” and the story of her life is fascinating.
