Your best so far, dear one. Keep beating that drum of the long and purposeful march to oligarchy.

You had me for a split second with MTV:) That aside, I am at a loss for words regarding what is happening in the world right now (and that is a rare occurrence!)

Loved your post, Katharine! I know that now you understand my 34 years old and counting grudge against Joe Biden. You are absolutely right, though, he was not the only one, but, he was the Chair of the Judiciary Committee and he could have done a lot more.

Got it, Irma. I highly recommend this book I’m reading though. The incredible machine which engineered his approval has to take the lion’s share of the blame, IMHO.

I remember Arlen Spector's harsh treatment of Anita Hill. I lost all respect for him that afternoon. My February payment arrived during the first week just like always, but I am concerned about March. And then there is the tax refund ....

Not sure what a 4-rev cycle would be. My first OralB electric would nag me every 30 seconds to be sure I wasn't forgetting the rest of my mouth but after about 4 years it wouldn't charge anymore and the replacement only tells me when 2 minutes has elapsed. So now I spend about half a minute on each "surface" of each arcade. That's the buccal-labial surface, the occlusal surface, and the lingual surface.

Thank you, Don A. For some reason you always get me giggling. Which is a good thing.

Thank you. I had a "moment" at MTV, but it is clever. I always call T DUMDUM, but it is all inclusive now.

The problem with people in the streets is that Congress gave away the US military, T fired all of the top generals, and just fired JAG, which means, as Joyce Vance has said, they are getting ready to do something illegal.

T is not very patiently waiting to use the INSURRECTION ACT and bring in the military, which is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, but he will do it anyway.

I was going to say, "Protesting used to work,"

but it didn't really (Kent State). As I was reading recently, protesting might make you feel better, but it doesn't work on the problem. "Contempt of Congress" would work if they would use it, but Republicans are cowards

and traitors. MTV is just going to keep pushing if there is no push back.

R's don't realize they are making the facilities at Gitmo for THEM, when MTV throws them under the bus. Congress "confirming" the worst people in the world to "lead" things was notice that it won't be long. Not sure what they have in mind. Could be Putin doesn't have to "invade" we will be DYING faster now that making vaccines is being closed down, and ending government programs to keep us housed and alive

might end. CRUELTY is the point. It is not just the "power," they are enjoying doing this to us. Having known the life we have had it is difficult for Americans to grasp the danger. The "danger" has always been "over there."

NOW it is HERE, and Congress is pretending it is just a ripple, when it is a tsunami, and it is headed our way. Lengthy, but needed to be said.🗽🇺🇲🇺🇦

Well, NK, I agree it needs to be said, but I do believe protesting can help. And I definitely remember Kent State. I also remember the Civil Rights marches and the world before Roe. We must preserve the Rule of Law and push back at every chance. I still have the scar from my smallpox vaccination so as I turn 80 later this year, I’m thankful that science got me this far.

Yes. One of the first children to get a polio shot. Have been getting vaccinated all my life.

Katharine, it tells me a lot to know you have a dimension in Federal contracts and Contract Administration. I do also. I was just posting that Musk cannot get another contract award due to insider knowledge. It also comes to mind that Congress should get DOGE testimony under oath and require certified cost and pricing data (FAR 15.406) to back up their claims like we had to do to support our bids. Wow. You know all about this too. I am overwhelmed. And you thought I just liked English tarts. Not true. https://hotbuttons.substack.com/p/musk-stains-future-federal-contract?r=3m1bs
