Thanks, Laina. I was tempted to never set foot outdoors again! But as the pain has subsided I will definitely enjoy my world—just a little more carefully.
Text to voice, or whatever it's called, will revolutionize how we read. I'm surprised Substack hasn't got an automatic conversion tool. Or maybe they do? Anyone know how we can easily provide an audio version of our written stacks?
Oh, Richard. I fear you may be right. But honestly, I find reading and listening to be such completely different experiences that I hope to be able to continue to enjoy both.
I think for Substack, print with an audio option is essential. The Phone Age is here, with half reading, the other half listening. I haven't been on public transit lately. What do they do?

Thank you, Jim. I, too, feel a sense of urgency about this situation. Lots of us here are sounding the alarm. Together we make a mighty voice.
Glad you're feeling better and healing up. Next time leave the hairy vines to the professionals. They always seem to be immune.
