I remember when my senator -- Arlen Spector -- mistreated Thomas's accusing witness. It was shameful. But it was a prelude to the way so many hearings are conducted now. I've also recently become aware of how much Winston Churchill stood up and stood out to keep the people of Great Britain from giving in. Quite the contrast.

And now I just finished watching the Senate put Patel in charge of the FBI. This is so hard to process. Thank you for being a faithful reader and fellow plastic bag re-user.

Informative and so witty! Katharine, your writing really does remind me of one of my favorite writers, Margaret Atwood. I’ve just started her trilogy, “The MaddAddam Trilogy.” I’m on book 1 and it is amazing! Thank you for the pleasure you give me when i read your posts.

Power to the People and Right On indeed! Sounds like the 1960s come back to life. It was valid then, and it is valid now... and more imperative (desperately so) now than ever before.

Thanks for the links, John. I need a distraction having just watched the Senate turn the FBI over to Patel. Yikes!
