Yes, Gregory. I also avoid dairy because I read that it can contribute to depression. So I’ve been dairy free for many years. Lots of great alternatives nowadays.
I never heard any accusation of depression against dairy products. Myself, I have switched to "ice cream" (I've always had a wicked sweet tooth!) alternatives, made from soy, oats, cashews, etc. I would go vegan if it was practical for me. "Eating healthy" is far more expensive than it ought to be! But I have been a vegetarian since 1991. :-)
Well, Gregory, thanks for chatting about this. I still eat some meat and a lot of fish, with fresh fruit and veg. Also I stay away from sugar as much as possible. My body usually lets me know what it needs. And frankly, I think my skill at pinching pennies helps a lot. Very dark chocolate makes it all worthwhile.
Just curious: Does this anti-inflammatory diet steer you away from dairy products?
