“Nobel Peace Prize conferred in Oslo on December 10, 1986.” A magical day. Emily Dickenson’s birthday. Human Right’s day. The birthday of someone special to me.
Thanks, Jim, for your comment. I had extra difficulty today proofreading and see that I have a typo in the title of the museum. Has Substack changed things again? Or was my brain just addled from my heart’s fibrillations?
I am not the person to ask about Substack as I stumble along in it because I believe it is not well designed. FYI, I had atrial flutter and had an ablation. Flutter occurs in right side atrium whereas fibrillation are in left side atrium, or so I was told.
Thanks again, Jim. Pre-pandemic I was contemplating an ablation myself. But that went by the wayside, and I’ve been managing ever since with Eliquis to mitigate stroke risk. The paroxysmal nature is the fun part.
I take Xarelto—however it is spelled—which is somewhat similar. My ablation was about a year ago and I’m slowly and cautiously ramping my exercising up but still a long way from pre-ablation. I was very active, bicycling, weights, hikes in nearby mountains, etc.
I’m a strong believer that the best medicine for mental, emotional and physical health is exercise.
Well, I tend to agree but my activity level has definitely diminished. I blame some of it on Covid which I had in 2022 but also some lung issues. I was walking an hour every morning before breakfast. Now I’m lucky to do half that every other day. Oh well, getting old isn’t for sissies (Paul Newman?).

Take care.

I learn something from reading your post every week, Katharine! Thank you for doing the research and reporting on it!
Thanks, Cherie. I do love to read but the technology part not so much. And now the ability to add video. Yikes. I’ll keep muddling through.
