Coming to peace with one’s anger? Is there a reason to be angry? If so, then I accept it and experience it. Anger is a natural response if situational.
Just read that Jim Clyburn proposes Biden pardon Trump for the sake of national unity. That pisses me off and I own it. I’ll not be the frog that comes to peace with the scorpions trying to sting me to death and just chanting my O Pad Mi Ohms as I pardon the scorpions in advance.
Interestingly, Jim, one of my favorite law professors—Asha Rangappa of The Freedom Academy here on Substack—has floated the same idea. Every day is such a challenge to keep up.
Asha is a beacon of light on a rocky, dangerous coast that the ships of American voters keep ignoring and continue crashing into the rocks of treachery.
You have never appeared to be jolly but you do seem to have internalized the gist of what I remember from my college infatuation with Meher Baba. To wit: "Don't Worry" and "Be Happy". While I do not spend hours every day repeating his name, I did pick up on his message of universal love which I take to be caring for one another.
I come away enlightened. There is more in life than anger and disappointment over the politics of everything. Thank you for bringing me along for this journey.

She is a treasure.
Nice post as usual, Katharine. Still trying to come to grips with my anger, your positivity is very helpful, thank you.
I should mention that in 1877, two Selfe brothers immigrated from England. One was Thomas Robert Selfe, my great grandfather.
