My post today was going to be completely self-centered because I have started re-reading (for the third time) a book I have about overcoming compulsive hoarding. However, I am now so excited about current events that I will get outside myself and tell you why this morning brings me joy.
As most of you may know, I do not watch television except for Netflix, and I certainly don’t watch Fox News. But early this morning I caught the interview done by Kamala, and in my opinion, she made mincemeat out of that so-called fair and balanced reporter. I have since looked him up and see that he has indeed won awards for journalism; but I hardly think that talking over your guest as she is answering succinctly your long-winded questions (posed purposely to elicit gotcha’s) should merit kudos.
Kamala’s measured response to her grilling reflects her years of experience in the courtroom and in local government. She is just what this country needs—a highly intelligent and experienced professional who can navigate the world’s stage with aplomb.
I just personally wish that women could ditch the high heels, as I’ve shared here before, My daughter tells me that they are still very much in use. But perhaps as more and more women wield the power, they will prefer comfort as they perform as leaders. Or perhaps men will start wearing heels? Randy Rainbow, where are you?
Finally, I am going to quit typing because after getting the garbage out this morning I went into Afib. My new favorite word is “paroxysmal” which is the type I have. Always an adventure because you never know what might bring it on. And some episodes can be worked through, while others not so much. I haven’t even read this morning’s paper yet, so that seems like a very good thing to do while my heart skips around—usually rights itself within a few hours, so we’ll see.

Too long of a list to put here beginning with Fox isn't news, nor are most of the other news programs. They gradually to entertainment as bottom line profits became the driving force. There is much that has been written about this by many who have followed the progression over time. Look up "when did news become entertainment" and see what these people have to say. I'm no expert but I know the difference in the reporting done by these folks - Walter Cronkite, Chet & David, Dan Rather and that offered up today by recently deposed Norah O'Donnell, Lester Holt, and David Muir. And that's just a small sample.
I was amused by Baier's post depicting Harris's appearance with him as a planned form of subterfuge. Those were not his actual words but that's the gist of what I understood him to be whining about.
