Thanks for reading, John. I actually noticed the West Haven stop this time for some reason. Has the train always stopped there or is it relatively new?
I have a friend who got a pig valve ten years ago. She is Jewish which brings up a question. In my mind. Can someone who keeps kosher get a pig valve? I’m reasoning no.
So, we grow animals to provide us humans with their body parts. I think about that as comment on humanity and humanities connection to myths and beliefs so that many have a hierarchy of life forms with humans at the top.
Well, Jim, I’m glad your friend is still alive. The whole ethical questions you raise are beyond my pay grade. Don’t we raise a lot of animals for food?
The prescription to wait and see is one with which I am familiar. I have aortic stenosis (narrowing of the valve) and Doc Z has for several years said we will wait and see. Then 2 weeks ago I flunked my Echo Stress test so I've been referred to people who do valve replacements. Curiously enough, some 30 years ago when I was in the animal nutrition business, one of my customers had a special pen of pigs that he was raising to be used as a source of replacement valves.
I do love New York, Lee. And I appreciate your being there for me. The Antiquarian Book tour you hosted was a great pleasure too. Keeping calm and carrying on . . .
I'm a Westie. I get off the train in West Haven. That (actually eastern) shoreline is so nice versus the big city. Thanks!

Yes. Not judging per se just thinking about in conjunction with human mythologies.
Thank you for this trip! It is good for me to get out of the apartment every now and then.
You’re welcome, Carl. It is heartwarming to see the rest of the world sometimes.

Thank you so much for being a faithful reader, Don A. Bless the piggies!
So glad you enjoyed your time in the city!
