Just finished listening to an engrossing conversation on YouTube between Bill Kristol and Jonathan Karl. Needed to stay put because I went into Afib earlier and almost passed out when I got up to visit the bathroom. Managed to do the finishing touches for second sweater for grand baby at the same time as learning what a second term of that person who shall not be named might look like. Jonathan has three books I must now read, all of which have that name in the title. I had never heard of him nor his books before (the first two are NYT bestsellers and the latest was just released) so I have some catching up to do. As a self-appointed savior of democracy, I must be as prepared and informed as possible. But first I have to stay alive, so I’m heading over to Margaret Atwood’s Substack to become a paying member. She and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar share this affliction with me and I look to them for help and inspiration. Margaret has written a poem to her heart with which I fully identify.
Typing with laptop on chest while reclining is not much fun, so TTFN. I’ll be updating you on Thursday.
The a-fib, save democracy club is pretty impressive.
