Just Because
it's Sunday
I refuse to allow the chaos and confusion of world affairs to divert me from the order of my life. Therefore, I am posting on a Sunday morning as I have done for years.
I usually try to think of something uplifting to share, and today will be no exception. Family has been visiting, so it’s always a treat to spend time with them. And modern medicine is on the hunt for whatever may have caused my recent lack of oomph as I put it. More will be revealed . . .
And with that, I am actually going to sign off and continue on with my Sunday pleasure of reading the much-larger-than-usual newspaper, with assorted puzzles to enjoy. The current news is even more outlandish than previously, and I am sure there will be many different interpretations of what actually happened. We will sort it all out and proceed accordingly.

Lack of oomph is a good description for the way I have been feeling lately. Sully wakes me around 6:30 so I can get him outside and feel more comfortable. I do that then I have my morning bagel with cream cheese and salmon that I eat while I am reading on-line comments, doing a double acrostic, and a crossword before I read my mail. By 9 or 9:30 I am having difficulty keeping my eyes open so I lay down on the sofa/futon and nap for about an hour. Afterward, I can usually get motivated to do some of the tasks that need to be done. Today I still have to take the recyclables down to the recycle bin. Then I can go into town and get some more birdseed -- the goldfinches seem to have taken a shine to the thistle seed lately.
Don't forget to read the funnies... I used to love Steve Canyon, Peanuts, and so many other great comics. Where are they all now? Where are we now?
